It’s official, the countdown to Christmas/Yule is here.
Snowflake, our elf on the shelf showed up while we were all tucked in bed, dreaming of…. well, lets just say we were dreaming and leave it at that.
Normally Snowflake just sort of shows up in an eerie, no fuss sort of way. Not this year. She left a little message for everyone.
Sarah really got a kick out of the fact Snowflake wrote hi with M&Ms.
Every year I put up this tree, it’s a count down to Christmas sort of thing. Every morning the kids wake up and check the pocket of that days date for a small surprise. Usually it’s a piece of chocolate of some sort.
There used to be felt numbers on it. Last year I thought it would be a good idea to wash it, I’ve had it for about 20 years and it had never been washed.
Yeah, that didn’t work out so well. All the numbers fell off and most disappeared to the same place our socks tend to go. Since I’m not even a tiny bit crafty I had Emma and Sophie write the numbers on paper and tape it to the tree. I’d like to get some stencils and felt so I can hot glue numbers on the tree like it’s supposed to be.
